FAQs

Q. What is the Marian Blue Wave?

A. The Marian Blue Wave is a call to action involving the praying of the Rosary once a week with the specific intention of ending abortion and shutting down Planned Parenthood facilities. For a more detailed description, follow the link here

Q. Why do we need the Marian Blue Wave?

A. The Marian Blue Wave movement is an outgrowth of our Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary Campaign. Whereas the Mary Campaign encouraged people to pray physically outside of Planned Parenthood facilities, the MBW expands that effort by allowing people anywhere in the world to pray the Rosary to ask our Blessed Mother to close down all Planned Parenthood and other abortion facilities and to bring a culture of life to the United States. For a full history of the Marian Blue Wave, follow the link here

Q. Does the Marian Blue Wave have an end date?

A. The Marian Blue Wave is not a simple campaign, but a movement. It will continue until our specific goals are achieved.

Q. How do I pray as part of the Marian Blue Wave?

A. To pray as part of the Marian Blue Wave, you can sign up on our website to commit to one Rosary a week. The Rosary will be offered up for the specific intention of closing down all Planned Parenthood and other abortion facilities as well as restoring a culture of life to the United States. Marian Blue Wave rosary reflections were written by Judie Brown and approved by Bishop Strickland of Tyler, Texas. You can find them here.

Q. Do I need to pray in front of a Planned Parenthood facility?

A. No. You can pray wherever you are. When you pray as part of the Marian Blue Wave, your prayers are joined by thousands of others around the country. The best part about the MBW is that you can pray anywhere.

Q. Can non-Catholics pray the Rosary?

A. People of all faiths and religions are invited to join the Marian Blue Wave. The Rosary prayers are based on passages from the Bible. If you are not familiar with how to say the Rosary, learn how here.

Q. Will my personal information be secure?

A. Absolutely! When you register, we ask for your name and contact information so we can keep in touch with you. Our map indicates how many people are praying the Rosary once a week, but we do not include your name or any personal information. We only indicate how many people are praying from a particular postal code.

Q. Can groups sign up?

A. Yes! Follow the link to the sign-up page and click “Group Sign Up.” There you can register your group as part of the Marian Blue Wave.

Q. Can individuals sign up?

A. Yes! Follow the link to the sign-up page and hit “Individual Sign Up.” There you can register as part of the Marian Blue Wave.

Q. Can I just pray my own prayers?

A. The Marian Blue Wave is different from any other attempt to shut down Planned Parenthood because it is centered on having people commit to praying one Rosary each week. While you are welcome to pray your own prayers, to be a part of the MBW you must commit to saying a weekly Rosary for the MBW goals.
